During our first trip to Disneyland, one of the things that my daughter and I couldn’t get enough of, was meeting the amazing characters! The characters at Disneyland are those from my childhood memories and the new ones that I am sharing with my children now! Travel is so much fun, when it fulfills a lifelong dream and meeting the characters at Disneyland, with my daughter, was definitely a dream come true for me!
Meeting Characters at Disneyland!
Did you know that one of the keys to meeting characters at Disneyland, is to download the Disneyland App? With it, you can find out where the characters are going to be, when they are going to come out and how long the wait might be to meet them!
Your experiences can start as soon as you enter the park. The characters are everywhere and they rotate in and out of the park all the time, so you always have a chance to meet them!
Where Can I Find Disney Characters at Disneyland?
If you are looking for a princess, try the Fantasy Faire. If it’s pixie dust you’re after, head on down to Pixie Hollow (Next to Tomorrowland). Looking for the big cheese himself? Check out Toontown, where Mickey Mouse likes to be at home in his workshop!
There are also official meet and greet spots, which you can find with the app I mentioned above! Such a lifesaver.
The Characters at Disneyland that We Met:
We got to meet the Chip half of the FAMOUS Chip and Dale duo!
Chip was one of the first characters at Disneyland that we encountered, and surprisingly, he had the shortest line! My little princess got to sneak right in for her photo opp!
Next up, I kissed a Goof and I liked it!
Goofy was on my meet and greet list, for sure and he lived up to the hype!
We had to stop by the Star Wars Launch Bay, of course. There were rebel missions to fly, storm troopers to mess with, oh and I also presented my daughter to Lord Vader and he said, “Although, she gleams with light, he senses the darkness is strong within her!”. I sincerely agree, Sith Lord. By the way, I did not find cookies on the dark side, FYI!
I have to let you in on a little secret. The day we were at Disneyland was May 5th. As you know May the 4th be with you and Revenge of the 5th, hahahaha!
Making your own light-saber is a MUST, if it is your first time at the Star Wars Launch Bay!
Whatever you do, do not forget to stop by the castle, because meeting the Disney Princesses is a truly magical and unforgettable moment for any little girl! (And any mom, who is just a squealing little girl inside!)
The best thing about Disneyland, is you can put on your Mickey Ears and dance like nobody’s watching!
And, don’t forget to get yourself a tasty treat too!
