Welcome to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the home of tater tot hot-dish and the possibility of up to 9 moths of winter! Yes, the bold north, they call us and they also talk about “Feeling Minnesota Nice”, which does exist, but may be slightly different than you were expecting. “What is Minnesota Nice?”, you ask. Well, it means we are very accepting of everyone, but we also aren’t going to sugar-coat things or baby you. We’ll invite you to dinner, but if you don’t like our hot-dish, you can just take yourself on to Perkins, then!
Anywho, as a Minnesotan (born and raised), I thought I should show you some of the fun places to visit and activities to try when you travel to my home state!
Welcome to Minnesota
We may be the land of 10,000 lakes and yes, one of them is the biggest lake in the US, but there is a lot more to Minnesota than water! We also have the Spam Museum and snow! I kid, I kid! I mean, we do have those, but we also have art, amusements, food, music and different activities for EVERYONE to enjoy!
The Twin Cities:
Minneapolis and Saint Paul, AKA, The Twin Cities are full of life, culture, music, art, food and more. I am a Minnesotan and I grew up in these cities, and let me tell you, they are definitely a Minnesota site to see in themselves.
Minnesota is known for more than just snow! We’ve also got the Great Minnesota Get-Together, The Spam Museum and of course, Tater Tot Hotdish! Minnesota knows how to eat and make comfort foods!
