I have been living with mental illness, since I was young. Most recently, I was officially diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder with Complex-PTSD coupled with Severe Depression and Severe Anxiety!
Living with Mental Illness
Dealing with mental illness makes things harder, of course. However, sharing my stories and reading the stories of others makes it a little more tolerable. In this day and age, we should be able to talk about our mental health and not be ashamed. We are not alone, the stigma needs to end and we need to normalize the conversations around mental health.

Parenting mental illness
On top of my own mental illnesses, I am also parenting mental illness. My son has his own list of special needs which make the parenting struggle that much more difficult.
I have a 13 year old boy with issues of his own. My son has High Functioning Autism, Bi-Polar, ADHD and Anxiety. Yes, my son knows about all of his diagnosis and what they mean, in text book terms. Like I said, transparency, normalize the conversation. I never want him to be ashamed, scared or angry about who he is.
