Books about what to expect from your baby and toddler are abundant. They cover almost every topic that you can think of, from a blown out diaper to the Terrible Twos! However, after that, we parents are just kind of left hanging, parenting these tiny teenagers! It starts at 3, at least with my daughter it did, and I dubbed her “The Threenager”! She is now almost 8 and can slam doors while rolling her eyes at an 18 year old level! We all just need some relatable parenting inspiration.
There is one book, that didn’t forget about the parents struggle during those Tween/Teen years, and I happen to be in it! It is full of stories that will make you laugh, make you cry, make you go hmmm and let you know you aren’t alone. It’s called Lose The Cape: Ain’t Nothing But A Teen Thang!
If all else fails, read all about other people’s relatable parenting stories and laugh your butt off at the attempts to wrangle, I mean parent, these tiny teenagers. Like I’ve always said, in parenting, if you aren’t laughing, you’re probably crying or yelling!
